Background & Training

Taylor Tookes is an Atlanta-based violinist, producer, composer, and educator. Her foundation in classical violin comes from the University of Michigan and the Atlanta Symphony Talent Development Program, grounding her artistry in strong technical training and musical depth.

Performance Highlights

Taylor has performed across a wide spectrum of stages — from pit and chamber orchestras to jazz and live bands. Her appearances include The Tabernacle, Center Stage Atlanta, Roulette NYC, Atlanta Symphony Hall, and Carnegie Hall

Creative Collaborations

As a composer and producer, Taylor has collaborated with artists including Amal Zenab, 6lack, Flwr Chyld, Kennedy Ryon, Michael Bishop, and Nana Kwabena. Her recent work includes the Jeezy TM:101 Tour with the Color of Noize Orchestra and a special activation performance for the High Museum’s Oasis.

Taylor’s musical voice blends her deep affinity for Black music traditions and improvisation with her classical training. The result is a sound that is expressive, collaborative, and rooted in both tradition and innovation.
