Catherine IN ACTION!

How old were you when you started playing the violin? Why did you begin?

10 years old. My parents made me pick an instrument for middle school extracurricular.

Hard to pick, but I miss street performing from when I lived in NYC. I enjoy playing for weddings.

Classical. I also play jazz gigs with my dad who's a jazz pianist.

I only play violin and viola professionally. I can also play cello, electric bass, guitar, and piano at an amateur level.

I think I was about 15 when I played my first gig with my dad and we played easy Irish tunes for a St. Patrick's day event for a Catholic Church.

Yes, I teach mostly violin and viola. I also teach cello, guitar and piano.

Classical, Celtic, 70s rock. My parents are both classically trained pianists, so classical piano music is the #1 thing I listened to. They had all the CDs of every type of classical piano you can imagine. Chopin was my biggest influence when I started listening to a lot of classical.

Bachelors and Masters from the Manhattan School of Music

Depends on the crowd. Maybe something by Lindsey Stirling, like crystallize or Take Flight. Or If I Ain't Got You by Alicia keys.
