Christine Kharazian is an Armenian-born concert violinist shaped by deep classical training and a rich musical heritage. She studied at the Tchaikovsky Advanced School of Music and the Komitas State Conservatory, later performing with the Armenian National Opera Symphony and as a featured soloist on national television and radio. These foundational years grounded her in expressive musicianship and a strong technical command.

She is known for her warm tone, versatility, and intuitive sense of storytelling. She moves seamlessly between classical repertoire, traditional music, jazz, and global styles, making her a dynamic fit for weddings, concerts, and corporate events. Since relocating to the Washington D.C. area, she has performed at the Kennedy Center, Strathmore, Blues Alley, and numerous embassies, collaborating with ensembles such as the Pan-American Orchestra and Orchester Praževica.

Christine’s performance career spans both traditional stages and interdisciplinary collaborations. She appeared in theater productions of Chekhov works, performing in roles created specifically for her violin, blending live music with narrative drama. Her creative range also includes composition; her original piece Valse Astolfi earned 2nd Prize in the international Unsigned Only competition, underscoring her versatility and artistic depth.
Educator & Mentor
Christine is also a dedicated educator known for her encouraging, student-centered approach. She teaches at Sidwell Friends School and works with Washington Performing Arts and the Strathmore String Program, supporting young musicians across Montgomery County. Her teaching blends solid technique with expressive freedom, helping students develop both confidence and artistry.
