We had the pleasure of Zamira joining us for our Sangeet event in September. Our venue was in a concert hall and we wanted to make full use of the stage throughout the night. Zamira did a great job not only on stage, but also going into the crowd and becoming part of the night. We would absolutely use them for any other event!

ZAMIRA IN ACTION!

How old were you when you started playing the violin? Why did you begin?

I was 9 years old when I started to play the violin. I come from a very much musical family, my parents use to sing together in family reunions and they also were part of a Choir. Additionally my mom plays the guitar and cuatro (a Venezuelan instrument similar to the Ukulele). So I always was surrounded by music since a was little. My mom decided to to put me in general music and piano lessons since I was 7 and that's how everything started.

Playing in Musicals have been part of my life for so many years. The mixing with music, dance, theater, lights on a stage is magical and is one of my favorites things to do.

I love to play classical music, Latin music and Venezuelan music.

I love to sing too. I also play Viola, a little of Cello, Bass and Piano.

I listened to every kind of music, a lot of classical music, Latin, pop, ballad, boleros, Bossa nova, tangos, Jazz and Venezuelan music.

I teach private violin lessons

I was born in Venezuela (South America) and I lived there for 38 years. In 2012 my family and I moved to USA and I lived in Maryland for 3 years. In 2015 we moved to NJ and we have 8 years living in Bergen county.

Performing with my violin is something I really enjoy and love. I easily loose track of time doing it.

I would tell my husband.
