Her path beyond classical music began with The Devil Went Down to Georgia by Charlie Daniels, a piece that sparked her fascination with the electric violin. That early inspiration led her to save for her first electric violin in high school, marking the beginning of a more expansive and creative musical journey.

Over the years, Alyssa has built a versatile repertoire spanning pop, Bollywood, Broadway, holiday, and film music. She is especially drawn to music that feels recognizable and emotionally resonant, bringing warmth, energy, and thoughtful interpretation to every performance.

With over 14 years of experience, Alyssa has performed at weddings, corporate events, and private celebrations. She brings a polished, adaptable presence, creating performances that feel both personal and memorable.

What is your primary skill or instrument? Do you sing or play any other instruments?
I play violin! I played electric guitar for several years in high school and I LOVE to sing! I spend time singing almost every day, and have done so since I was a kid. But no one knows this outside my family (until now!) and I have only sung in public once, doing karaoke. I'd love to take voice lessons one day and would love to incorporate singing into my performances someday.
How old were you when you started studying your craft? Why did you begin?
4 years old - my Mom made me (thank goodness)!
Besides Bollywood & Pop, what other styles of music do you love to play?
Broadway hits, movie scores, and holiday music
How else do you like to spend your free time when you're not practicing or performing?
Laughing and having fun with my daughter and husband, coding, hydrogeology, water conservation, sewing, knitting, and cooking/baking
Do you teach or only perform? If you do teach, in what context?
I only perform. I taught violin very briefly but did not have time to pursue it along with everything else I love to do.
What is your educational background and what degree(s) do you have?
I have a Bachelor of Science in Geology and a Master of Science in Geology, and a Professional Geoscientist license.
Do you speak any other languages besides English? Which one(s) and how well?
I remember a bit of French from six years of French in high school.
What is your favorite holiday and how do you celebrate it?
Christmas! I celebrate by playing and singing as much Christmas music as possible!
